Youth Empowerment Team

Youth Empowerment – YETeam

WAYS is committed to meaningfully engaging our youth in issues and activities and to co-creating opportunities for youth voice and action with our youth themselves.

As a part of the New Mentality Network, we work with agencies across the province with leadership from Children’s Mental Health Ontario to raise the profile of youth thought and action on mental health stigma in Ontario communities.

YETeam is a group of WAYS youth and their adult allies that meets regularly to give input to the agency, make plans for exciting and meaningful activities and social action, and to learn and develop leadership, teamwork and social justice skills.

To join YETeam

Send an email to yeteam@ways.on.ca or talk to your primary worker or program supervisor. We welcome current and former clients of any WAYS program who are aged 13 to 24 and are interested in developing leadership, teamwork and social justice skills as a member of this group.
