Police believe there may be more victims

LONDON, ON (July 17, 2019) – Two people are facing charges following an investigation into allegations of human trafficking stemming from an online ad promoting a “great opportunity” for students to make hundreds of dollars a day.

A complaint was received by police on July 9, 2019, by a 28-year-old who responded to the ad and then ended up involved in sex work. Police are urging any other victims to contact investigators with the Human Trafficking Unit by calling 519-661-5670.

Brady Allan Decoursey (also known as Jamie), 28, and Anna-Lee Rose Giroux (also known as Carla or Pamela), 28, both of London, are jointly charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:

• Trafficking in person by recruiting;
• Financial/material benefits trafficking a person over 18;
• Communicate with anyone for the purpose of obtaining for consideration the sexual services of a person; and
• Advertising another person’s sexual services.

Decoursey has been remanded in custody and Giroux is expected to appear for a bail hearing today.
