Community Programs

Pair

WAYS Community Programs offer flexible, trauma-informed and individualized supports to children and youth who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioural difficulties or complex challenges in London and Chatham-Kent.

Crisis and Intake Team

WAYS Mental Health Support, Vanier Children’s Services and Craigwood Youth Services collectively provide crisis support to children and youth ages 0 to 18 and their families. Telephone support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (including holidays).

WAYS London Community Programs

This program provides a variety of services tailored to each youth’s individual needs. Supports for youth 12 to 18 years of age may include:

  • Counselling and mental health support
  • Short term crisis support and harm reduction counseling
  • Promotion of healthy coping skills
  • Help obtaining food, shelter and clothing
  • Advocacy and referrals to community services, as needed
  • Access to the WD Sutton Alternative School Program Residential
  • A variety of groups for youth
  • Supper Club for current and past WAYS clients

Crisis and Community Support Program

Provides immediate crisis support to children and youth 6 to 18 years of age, and their families.

Increases the capacity to manage further crisis and helps access formal and informal supports.

Telephone support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (including holidays).

Chatham Community Support Program

This program provides a variety of services, tailored to each child or youth’s individual needs. Supports for youth 18 years old and under may include:

  • Counselling and mental health support to children, youth and their families
  • Help obtaining food, shelter and clothing
  • Advocacy and referrals to community services as needed
