Ellipsis: F&LS Spring Fashion Show 2018

March 3, 2018, 6:00pm - March 3, 2018, 8:00pm

Fashion & Lifestyle Society presents ELLIPSIS, at Museum London on Saturday March 3rd, 2018. Doors open at 6pm, show begins at 7pm. ELLIPSIS will deconstruct the side effects of digital curation on social media and explore the various personas that unfold from it, while revealing the possibility of disconnection that is born from the act of connection. Styling on the runway will reflect metaphoric representations through the use of textiles, silhouettes, and colour to reflect the characteristics of online identities. The intended message of the show is one that promotes self-reflection. ELLIPSIS will attempt to deliver this collective behaviour of fabrication and false interpretation that is taking place through screens. All proceeds will be donated to WAYS mental health support (ways.on.ca). WAYS is a not-for-profit organization providing support for at-risk youth in London. ELLIPSIS will contribute to WAYS’ residential program to help provide a safe space for individuals in preparation for independent living. Special thanks to the Social Science Students' Council for their support in making this production possible. TICKETS: ellipsis0303.eventbrite.ca VIP $30 (Front row seating with gift bag) GENERAL ADMISSION $20 DRESS CODE: Due to the nature of our event and venue, please avoid winter boots and athletic shoes. You may be photographed, so follow dressy-casual attire. PARKING: Paid parking is available at the venue. Please purchase your tickets early, as we sold out last year and were not able to accommodate additional seating due to venue capacity. Email fls.springshow@gmaill.com / message Jen Lee, Krista Chyc, or Thalia Desmond if you have any questions. #ELLIPSIS0303
